Where do I return my textbooks?

Where do I return my textbooks?
I have textbooks that I need to return at the end of the semester and I am confused on where they need to be turned in.

Answer

When looking to return your textbooks for the semester, we ask that you first take a look at the books in question. They have some identifying marks that can indicate whether they should be returned to the library, or if they need to be returned to the campus bookstore.

Check your book for the following:

  • Is there a barcode attached to the upper left corner of the book's cover?
  • Is there a label on the spine of the book with a Library of Congress Call Number?
  • Are there any stamps and/or markings on the top and bottom of the book, or inside the cover that say "Holyoke Community College Library"?

If you have any of these markings on your book, please bring it to the circulation desk at the library! We can fully confirm at the time of return if the book belongs to us.

If your book lacks a barcode, spine label and stamp marking, your book should be returned to the HCC Bookstore
